Babette Rox

Training Director

Babette Rox’s passion and dedication to teach and help others propelled Babette to partner in Mindset Solutions. Her strong educational, first responder, and mental health background cultivate a culture of excellence in her continued quest to serve others. Prior to law enforcement, Babette graduated Summa Cum Laude from Barry University with a Bachelor of Science in Education and minor in Psychology. She was a teacher for seven years before pursuing her career in law enforcement in 2001.

A retired lieutenant from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, she held key assignments in the Training Institute, Internal Affairs, Strategic Planning, and the Robbery and Community Affairs Bureaus, supporting agency training, oversight, and community-focused operations. She served as a Crisis Negotiator for 18 years, and led as the Team Coordinator, on-scene Negotiator Commander, and the Training Coordinator for 6 of those years. Babette’s final assignment was within to the Psychological Services Bureau, where she was able to fulfill her purpose of serving her brothers and sister in blue.

During her tenure, Babette established herself as an innovator, creating a multitude of successful programs and initiatives. In 2022, she created a crisis intervention training program specific to her department. Babette then played an integral role in establishing the pioneering crisis response team, an unprecedented co-responder model. In addition, she developed the team’s advanced 120-hour mental health training course which included classroom instruction and high-fidelity scenarios. Her passion for first responder health and wellness led her to develop and implement the department’s first peer support program and its 40-hour training. With first-hand knowledge of what first responders face daily, she is committed to serving and supporting her brothers and sisters who wear the badge. Babette proudly serves as the Training Director for Mindset Solutions.
